Daily devotion: Changes are coming…
It was the September 11 attack on the twin towers in New York that sent our world into a new hostile direction followed up by the Iraq war and continued fighting in Afghanistan.
We jump to October 7, 2023 and the evil terrorist attack against innocent Israeli families initiated Israel declaring war with Hamas and Hezbollah.
Meanwhile Russia under the guise of a military exercise had invaded Ukraine!
Now in 2025, the United States has a new president – Donald Trump – who has vowed to break previous ‘woke’ strongholds and re-establish that which previously had been the backbone of the identity of the power of the United States. To flex muscles once again that had been weakened by a lack of integrity and courage.
Back home in Australia our current government has granted more visas than any other country in the world to people from Gaza – Australia’s future and character is changing, and we have sown to the wind and as a nation we are soon to reap the whirlwind. Yesterday in Sydney the continuation of evil antisemitism was on display yet again on Australian soil with the firebombing of a childcare centre with the accompanying cowardly graffiti speaking evil of Israel.
Our nation, the nation of Australia has changed and is changing. We the Church of Jesus Christ now in 2025 must remember the following – Mal 3:6 “For I am the LORD, I change not;”
Let us not with fear or trepidation step out and on by faith in 2025 as we daily see the world ripening for His harvest and also His judgment.
Israel is now the focus of world politics and this focus will only increase as we are now closer to Christ’s returning for His Church than ever before.
Let us pray for our nation and may the Church of Jesus Christ in Australia stand firm against the waves of hostility that are gathering against it.
