For Him or against Him?

Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour   -

In the Book of Genesis, in chapter 6 we have one of the most tragic verses in the Bible – Gen 6:5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
It seems as though that statement could easily be said of the time we now live. Violence, immorality and ungodliness depict our society and it seems it is just getting worse each day.
The next verses following in Genesis reveal God’s holiness and His heartbreak – 6 And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the LORD said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”
Our world is again about to be judged by God. It must be, for our Lord is Holy, and He said He would return, Psa 96:13 For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, And the peoples with His truth.
This statement is actually repeated more than 7 times throughout the Bible nearly word for word.
My question to you is are you living for God today? Are your comfortable with this world and its trends, fashions, morals and lasciviousness? We are living in a time like no other when God is sifting the churches before His soon return. Those who are playing Christianity, pretending to be followers of Christ, will be revealed in the coming days with the persecution and demands that this world will continue to place on Christians and seek to draw away those who are not for Christ!
The Apostle John said, 1Jo 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.
For Christians, times will become more difficult. To be a believer and follower of Christ in Australia will come with a price!
But let us who love our Lord not be disheartened, for verse 8 of Genesis 6 gives us all a message of hope, strength and peace – 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
God’s grace, as our Lord spoke unto Paul in a time of personal difficulty, tells us He will keep us and rescue us – 2Co 12:9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
You are either for Him or against Him. I pray that you will commit your life to Christ fully today and know His grace. For we will, like Paul, need it more and more in the coming days!
