Daily devotion – Rhinoceros hide….
1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
Have you ever been unfairly criticised? Been misjudged by others?
What should we do when we undergo such situations? The first thing to do is to be sure you are right where being right counts – before God!
If you are right in God’s eyes, then you can afford to be seen wrong in man’s eyes. The next thing to do is to forget your critics. Henry Ward Beecher never uttered a truer saying in his life than this: “Life would be a perpetual flea hunt if a man were obliged to run down all the innuendos, inveracities, insinuations, and misrepresentations which are uttered against him.”
If a person is honest with himself and God, he or she has no business worrying about malicious criticism. If you worry about what people think of you, it means that you have more confidence in their opinions than in your own!
I like to stick with the facts now as I have grown older in years and in my walk with the Lord. Jesus said, we are to be gentle as doves and wise as serpents – Matthew 10:16
It matters not what another person incorrectly or untruthfully thinks about you.
It only matters what Jesus thinks of us! And the truth will always set you free!
