Daily devotion – God’s will, will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Trusting God in Every Step

We have just received an initial report that the Rockingham City Council is not pleased with our current extension location and design. Earlier in my Christian walk, I would have been far more troubled by such news. But as the Lord has grown me in faith and wisdom, I’ve come to view these moments not as setbacks, but as reminders of who is truly in control.

I’ve learned—again and again—that God always has the final say. Even when we feel we’re facing a brick wall, He remains sovereign. So I ask you now: please make this situation a matter of ongoing prayer. Pray that the council will approve a design that aligns with God’s will and allows us to move forward joyfully.

We live by prayer, and the Church thrives through the power and sovereignty of the Holy Spirit. Jesus taught us how to pray:

“Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” – Matthew 6:10

Yes, God’s will will be done—but He invites us to participate through prayer:

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6–7

We are living in exciting days. God longs to show His power and might in the face of challenges. These moments are opportunities to grow, to hand things over to Him, and to resist the temptation to become stressed or discouraged.

Our task at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour is clear: preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ until He calls us home. Everything else—including council approvals and building plans—is God’s responsibility. If we commit these matters to Him, He will sort them out in His perfect way.

Finally, a reminder for those attending the Calvary Young Adults gathering with Pastor Marlon and Hannah Le Chat: it’s happening this Saturday. For more details, please reach out to either Pastor Marlon or Hannah directly.

Jesus is coming soon! Let us remain faithful and prayerful.
