Once the service has commenced, especially during the teaching of God’s Word, we ask that you remain seated so not to be a distraction to others. Should you need to move the Ushers on your return will direct you to a seat at the rear of the sanctuary.
What’s on this week?
Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour! We’re glad you’ve joined us this morning as we continue our series in the book of Revelation. Tonight at 6:00pm Pastor Keith will be teaching on the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Are they still relevant today? Did they cease with the Apostles? Join us tonight at 6:00pm following worship for this vital and timely study. Junior Church – Helpers & Teachers Needed We’re looking for servants to assist in Junior Church, both as helpers and to join the teaching roster. Men, do your children attend Junior Church? What joy it would be to see you teaching not only your own children but also other hungry young saints the Word of God. If God is stirring your heart, give your name to Pastor Nathanael and step into the calling and responsibility the Lord has placed upon you as a man of God. There Is a Place for You to Serve – There is always a place for you to serve the Body of Christ here at CCSH. Step into the will of God and serve with the gifting He has given you. Wednesday Night Prayer and Study – 7:00pm Be part of our amazing prayer team that meets each Wednesday night for Bible study and prayer here at the chapel. If you have young ones, consider taking turns as a couple to free one another up for time in God’s Word and prayer. Come and be a blessing—and be blessed as well! Israel 2027 – Keep Praying & Saving
We continue to monitor the situation in Israel and Gaza, and Lord willing, we are still planning to be there in January 2027—to walk in the footsteps of Jesus. Please keep this trip in your prayers and begin saving now!Church Building Extensions – Pray With Us Please pray for the approval of our church building extensions as submitted to the City of Rockingham. We desire to proceed with the current design to minimise costs and, more importantly, to provide the most secure layout possible for our children and the church family—protecting from any potential intrusions.
Peniel Fellowship – Tiberias – Israel
Prayer Support for Peniel Fellowship – Tiberias, Israel
As many of you know, we are blessed to have a partnership with a church in Tiberias, located on the shores of the Sea of Galilee in Israel. This is a fellowship of Messianic Jewish believers, and we have been in recent contact with them to ask how we can best support them in prayer. They responded with deep appreciation and shared the following prayer requests: “Thank you for your email and your kind concern. Here’s a list of some prayer points. We really appreciate you!” — Peniel Fellowship, Tiberias. Please join us in praying for the following: Wisdom, guidance, and strength for the Israeli government and army commanders. Favour regarding a license for our preliminary school, which has been served a closure order. Protection for all our soldiers in this war—these are our sons and daughters, brothers and fathers.
God’s blessing upon the 8 new members preparing for baptism. Healing and restoration for couples and families facing challenges during this time. Let us stand with our brothers and sisters in faith, praying fervently for their needs, and for peace in the land of Israel.
Helen’s Heart She who has learned how to pray has learned the greatest secret of a holy and happy life – Reasons why we don’t pray: caught up in daily chores, housework, work, evening dinner, clean up after meals, laundry, maintaining the garden, doctor and dentist appointments e.g. ‘Must do’ list. Worldliness – John 17:11. All that’s in thew world is not of the Father but of the world 1 John 2:16. But prayer gives us – an alertness to the lures of the world, an immunity against the world. God’s call to prayer – points us closer to Him and our thoughts, focus on Him. In His presence is fulness of joy – Psalm 16:11
Grace Giving 2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. We encourage all of you who are part of our Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour Fellowship family to give without obligation but with a cheerful heart of worship. Your gifts allow God’s work to be done in our surrounding communities. Account name – Calvary Chapel Church Secret Harbour Incorporated – Account – 10891970 – BSB – 066-516.
From the Pastor’s Pen
Today in Revelation 5, we witness the greatest worship service ever recorded—a heavenly gathering where all creation gives glory to the Lamb who is worthy. How important is worship to you? For God, it is a priority. Yet often during our time of corporate worship, I observe men standing passive—unmoved, uninvolved, or even indifferent. Some think it’s unmanly to sing, raise hands, or show emotion. But that idea is simply false. It’s often just a cover for our stubborn self-centredness. The late Archbishop of Canterbury, William Temple, wisely said: “Worship is the most selfless emotion of which our nature is capable and therefore the chief remedy for self-centredness, which is our original sin and the source of actual sin.” Worship reorients us—it pulls our gaze away from ourselves and fixes it upon Christ. True worship is not weakness—it is strength. It is not unmanly—it is deeply masculine in the most godly sense. A husband and father humbling himself before God in worship—lifting his hands, bowing his heart—sets a powerful example of spiritual leadership for his family. Psalm 29:2 commands: “Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.” Worship is not only about what Christ has done on the Cross—it also declares what He is doing now and will do in the future (Revelation 5:10). Worship catapults us into the eternal perspective. It reminds us of our future state in glory. It balances our Christian life—it is the great counterweight to self-absorption. So today, let worship lift you. Let it change you. Let it remind us that it’s not about you or me —it’s all about Him.
