Safe in the Lamb – Revelation 14

Pastor Israel Carmody   -

Living in a world full of evil can wear you down. It distorts your thinking, drains your hope, and sometimes leaves you wondering if you’re the only one still standing for Christ. Revelation 14 comes as a refreshing breath after the darkness of chapter 13 — a glimpse ahead to the victory of Jesus, the Lamb of God.

John sees 144,000 believers, sealed and protected by God, standing with the Lamb on Mount Zion. What’s remarkable is that the exact number introduced in Revelation 7 is still intact here. Not one is lost. God’s seal holds. For us, this is a reminder that the same Spirit who seals us in Christ will keep us to the very end.

This chapter also reveals the purity and dedication of these followers. In a future time of intense corruption, they live with undivided devotion to the Lord. Their lives match their words, and their witness leads many to salvation. It’s a challenge for us to live with the same integrity today — walking and talking in a way that points to Jesus.

Then comes a powerful scene: a flying angel proclaiming the eternal gospel to every nation, calling people to worship the Creator before judgment falls. Two more angels follow — one announcing the fall of the world’s corrupt systems, the other warning of the eternal consequences of rejecting Christ. In contrast, those who “die in the Lord” are blessed, entering eternal rest and reward.

The message is clear: if you are in the Lamb, you are safe. Whatever trials you face, He will keep you. His victory is certain, and your eternity is secure.

Join us this Sunday at 10.00 a.m. for our morning service as we open Revelation 14 together. We’ll see why, in Christ, we are truly Safe in the Lamb — and how that changes how we live today.
