Daily devotion – the assassination of Charles Kirk
Conservative activist and Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk died Wednesday after he was shot at an event at Utah Valley University. He was 31 years old.
The United States Republican party wrote, “We are so deeply saddened. Please pray for Charlie’s wife, Erika, and their children.”
Charles Kirk was a father, husband, son, and a man of Christ. Just a few weeks before Charlie died, he and Erika celebrated their daughter’s 3rd birthday.
We are living in the Last Days and true followers of Christ are in the sights of a fallen world that wants nothing to do with God.
The intensity of the spiritual battle has heightened immensely and as Christ’s Church the urgency and importance of prayer and fellowship for us all cannot be understated at this time.
Charles was just 31 years old when a bullet ended his life as he was sharing biblical values at Utah University. It is significant to note how that many of the learned centres of ‘education’ around the western nation have now become the dens of demonic spirits and hatred against Christ and the nation of Israel.
When a life like that of Charles ends suddenly we as believers must pause, reflect and acknowledge that we are fighting a very real enemy in Satan.
Charles Kirk mission is over, he has fought the good fight and he has run the race that the Lord had prepared for him. Charles Kirk left no stone unturned in his mission to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus – a mission that cost him his life.
Matthew 25:21…..Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
