The Peacemaker…

The Peacemaker
We live in a world where we are drenched with news of violence and distress. Our local news seems to subsist on stories of break ins, road rage, gangs and family breakdown.
Is it possible to be a peacemaker at times such as this?
Many family homes have become battlegrounds of bitter feuding with sons not talking to fathers. Husbands and wives, living in a constant war with daily clashes over anything and everything.
How can we be a peacemaker in these times?
This coming Wednesday night after prayer at the chapel, Paul will show us all in the Book of Galatians 6, how to be a true peacemaker. One who can restore friendship and fellowship.
But Paul will also reveal to us that being such a peacemaker is only possible with God’s help, God’s power and doing it God’s way.
Paul will teach us it will require the skill and gentleness as if one was resetting a broken bone. It will take the humility of one who does not have to claim they are right in a disagreement at all costs.
Finally, it will take someone who is able to bear another one’s burdens, who thinks not of themselves, but always and only of others first.
Does that sound possible to you for you to be a peacemaker?
There is an overflow of angry selfish bitter people but peacemakers are a rarity!
God is calling you to be a peacemaker, to be one who can restore peace in situations where the enemy is ravaging our loved ones.
Join us this Wednesday evening at the chapel and sign up to be a “PEACEMAKER!”
