Daily devotion – Triumph!

Ephesians 6:13, 18
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand… Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”

As I write this devotional, I am preparing for our Wednesday night study and prayer night here at Calvary. It is the night when we, as a church, make the greatest dent in the enemy’s plans and glorify Almighty God with thanksgiving and praise.

Dan 9:3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

Each day I am reminded of the spiritual battle we face as we live for Christ in a world that rejects Him. We shine light into the darkness, and we bring salt to a decaying world—holding back the corrupting works of the devil, who seeks to harm those who love Christ.

From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture reveals this constant conflict between good and evil. Yet, through it all, we see victory, celebration, and triumph as Christ returns to establish a new heaven and a new earth.

We are wonderfully made in the image of God, unique among creation, for we possess a soul that can respond to His love. It is this innermost part of our being that resonates with the love of Christ and fills our hearts with joy unspeakable and full of glory.

If you are struggling in the battle today, take heart—Christ is with you. Look up! He will bring you through. And soon, we as His redeemed will stand together as one great choir, singing of the victories He has won in every battle we have faced.

“And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.” — Revelation 5:13
