Prayer for our Nation!
Once our service has begun, and especially during the teaching of God’s Word, we kindly ask that everyone remain seated so as not to distract others who are listening. If you do need to step out, our Ushers will lovingly guide you to a seat at the rear of the sanctuary or in the foyer overflow when you return.
We do this out of love and reverence for the Lord and His Word, desiring that His message be received with undivided hearts.
What’s on this week
Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour!
If you would like to speak with someone about becoming a follower of Christ, our pastors and elders will be available after each service to meet and pray with you. You will receive a new Bible and be shown from the Scriptures what God’s Word declares we must do to receive Christ as our Lord and Saviour.
If you would like prayer for any other matter, they are also more than happy to pray with you.
It’s just 46 days until Christmas! Join us for our Christmas Eve Service on Wednesday, December 24th at 6:00 PM. Plan now to invite your family and friends to celebrate the birth of our Saviour together here at CCSH!
If you’d like to serve on the Christmas Eve Team, please see Elder Thomas Woodage with your name and details.
Next Sunday – Guest Speaker: – Pastor James Stretchberry from the American European Bethel Mission (AEBM) will be sharing a special message on God’s People, Israel – “Why Israel?”
This Friday:- Both Calvary Kids and Calvary Youth are in action here at the church!
Kids Ministry Opportunity – Kindy to Grade 2
We’re looking for someone to help teach our Kindy to Grade 2 class about once every 8 weeks. If you’d like to serve the Lord and bless the kids at Calvary Chapel, this is a wonderful place to get involved! See Pastor Nathanael.

From the Pastor’s Pen
Remembering Sacrifice – This coming Tuesday is Remembrance Day. At 5am on 11 November 1918, in a quiet railway carriage in France, representatives of France, Britain, and Germany signed a document that brought an end to four long years of conflict. Six hours later—at 11am—the Armistice took effect, marking the end of World War I.
Australia’s sacrifice was immense: In World War I, approximately 62,000 soldiers were killed out of 416,809 who enlisted. In World War II, over 39,000 Australians died, many in the Asian and Pacific campaigns.
In the Vietnam War, 18 Australian soldiers gave their lives in the Battle of Long Tan alone. During the Malayan Emergency, 36 Australian soldiers were lost. In more recent conflicts, such as Afghanistan, Australians have continued to lay down their lives. In 2007, several were killed by IEDs and in engagements with insurgents. As we gather here today, we remember that the freedom we enjoy—including the privilege to worship Jesus Christ openly and proclaim His name—is built upon the courage and sacrifice of those who fought for this nation. Many were just teenagers who left our shores, never to return. May we always be grateful for their selfless service.
Yet above all, let us remember the greatest sacrifice ever made—when God the Father gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer and die in our place upon Calvary’s Cross.
John 15:13 “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
On Tuesday, as we pause in silence at the eleventh hour, may our hearts be filled with thankfulness, not only for those who gave their lives for our earthly freedom, but for the One who gave His life to set us free for eternity.
Quote of the Week
“I believe in the Church and in loyalty to a local church. I am not in favour of that view of the invisible church that makes one invisible at church on Sunday morning.”
