Next Sunday morning we will celebrate Holy Communion as we break bread together for the first time in the New Year.
Serving the Body – 2026
Many of you already serve faithfully here at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour, and we thank the Lord for you. For those who have not yet stepped into ministry, we encourage you to seek God’s direction as to how you too might serve His body in 2026. Simply fill in one of our Connection Cards and we will contact you. There are many opportunities to serve where your God-given gifts can be a blessing to others.
Israel Tour 2027
As we move into the New Year, our Israel Tour in 2027 is now only months away. A sign-up sheet will be prepared shortly for those interested in joining this special pilgrimage. Please note that numbers will be capped, and places will be limited to those who consider Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour their home fellowship. Encouragingly, recent news reports that for the first time in three years, Christmas services were held in Bethlehem, a hopeful sign as we look ahead to our tour.
Midweek Meeting
Please be reminded that our midweek Wednesday meeting is on hold and will resume on Wednesday, 14 January 2026.
Baptism
Have you been baptised? The Bible teaches that after receiving Christ as Lord and Saviour by faith, we are to follow our salvation with baptism:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19)
If you would like to be part of our next Baptism Service at Palm Beach, Rockingham, please speak with any of the pastors for further information.

Grace Giving
2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. We encourage all of you who are part of our Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour Fellowship family to give without obligation but with a cheerful heart of worship. Your gifts allow God’s work to be done in “Judea, Samaria and the uttermost parts of the world.” Account name – Calvary Chapel Church Secret Harbour Incorporated – Account – 10891970 – BSB – 066-516.

From the Pastor’s Pen
Stepping Into 2026 – As we approach the New Year of 2026, we ask the question: What will it bring? One thing is certain—it brings us one year closer to the return of Christ for His Church. But what of us here at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour? Do we simply roll into the New Year with a yawn, or do we step forward with renewed fire and purpose? I can say with confidence that the fire of the Lord, which burned in the heart of the prophet Jeremiah, is being fanned ever more strongly in our own hearts as we look ahead. There is an urgency of the hour—an urgency to press people toward decision, to call out lukewarmness in our walk with God, and to press into righteous living and earnest prayer. We are longing to see hearts that are hungry for God, and to invest our time and energy into feeding those hearts with the Word of God. We desire to build up the children of this fellowship in the things of God and to see them raised up and released into ministry. We are also committed to calling out false doctrine, false teachers, and cults that seek to deceive, ravage, and ultimately lead lost souls toward eternal separation from God. Pastor Chuck Smith often reminded pastors, “Find out what God is doing and join it!” With that in mind, this coming year we will once again be teaching through the Bible—book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse.
God is shaking His Church. The enemy is actively seeking those who are, as Paul warned, “always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth” (2 Timothy 3:7). Our prayer is that this would not be said of us. We pray that you and your family will seek the Lord earnestly in this New Year—to be more involved, to pray more, to read His Word more, and above all, to know Him more. God desires to use this fellowship, and He has great things for us to be part of. May our response be that of the prophet Isaiah:
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?’
Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’” —Isaiah 6:8

Helen’s Heart
We cannot stand still in the Christian life. If we don’t go on, we may go off into the world like Demas – 2Ti 4:10
For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, Or like Saul destructively; “Saul took his sword and fell upon it.” – 1 Sam 31 Or compromising like Peter, Peter sat down among them – Luke 22:55 Or morally like David; And David…lay with her. Here is our prayer to guard against worldly mindedness – “Bring me higher nothing dreading, in the race that has no stop, In the footsteps keep me treading, Give me strength to reach the top.”

Quote of the week
“The biologist Edwin Conklin, speaking of evolution, stated that the probability of life originating by accident is “comparable to the probability of the unabridged dictionary originating from an explosion in a print shop.” That sounds very unscientific, coming from a scientist, but it’s true.” ― J. Vernon McGee
