(The Man Who Thought God had Forgotten Him!)
Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour on the first Sunday of 2026.
This morning we gather around the Lord’s Table to remember Him, giving thanks for all that our Lord has done, is doing, and for the blessed hope that He is soon coming to take us home to be with Him for all eternity.
Today we conclude our series in the Book of Daniel, finishing with Daniel chapter 12.
Pastor Keith will be teaching over the next two Sunday evenings. Tonight, he will be teaching from the Gospel of John. Have you ever gone through a season where it felt as though God had forgotten you? Join us tonight at 6:00pm for our first Sunday evening service of 2026, as we look at a man who believed God had indeed forgotten him.
Have you been baptised? – Jesus commanded His disciples to: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19)
If you would like to be part of our next Baptism Service at Palm Beach, Rockingham, please speak with any of the pastors for further information.

Walking Wisely into 2026
As we begin a New Year—2026—we naturally wonder what God has planned for each of us here at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour. This morning, as we come to the final chapter of the Book of Daniel, we will see with great clarity what God has planned for Israel and the Gentile nations in these Last Days.
Each time we read the Bible, each time we bend our knee in prayer, and each time we gather in fellowship with the body of Christ, God lovingly corrects our thinking, drawing it away from the mindset of the world. He desires that His kingdom and His will be the focal point of all our thoughts, desires, and actions.
When we neglect these things, we slowly drift into the ways and opinions of the world—ways that ignore God and place ourselves at the centre of the universe. The Bible calls th foolish living. The Apostle Paul exhorts us: “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise.” (Ephesians 5:15)
As we step into 2026, let us learn from past mistakes and not repeat them. Let us come before the Lord, place the year ahead into His hands, and humbly ask Him to have His way in our lives—each and every day that this year brings.
Helen’s Heart
Hebrews 8:10 I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Jesus met people where they were, not as they ‘ought’ to be. Fishermen, the blind, beggars, street-walkers, grieving parents, the severely ill, and proud politicians. His enemies could not understand this compassion. They hated Him because they could not relate to those ‘poor in spirit’. But those of us who understand His great mercy and advocacy have only respect, honour and gratitude for Him. Jesus represents sinners like us in the highest place – the presence of God.
Isa 30:18 Therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you; …and have mercy on you.
Quote of the week
Billy Graham’s New Year message emphasizes making the new year a spiritual fresh start, focusing on committing your life to Jesus Christ for guidance, hope, and strength, rather than relying on mere human resolutions, Jeremiah 29:11 (God’s plans for hope and a future) and the power of God to make all things new.
Spiritual Renewal: “The most important resolution you can make as another year approaches is this: to open your heart and life to Jesus Christ, and commit your life to Him”.
Hope in God: “Start the new year off with a sure thing—God’s promise to give you a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11)”.
Action for Today: “Don’t say, ‘Tomorrow’; say, ‘Today I will receive Christ.'”.
God’s Presence: “God has promised not only to live with us, but in us. God the Holy Spirit will come and dwell in our hearts now”.
Trust in His Plan: “Wouldn’t it be better to face the future with Him than without Him? God loves you, and you can trust His promise to be with you and guide you”.
As we click over into January 2026, our planned tour to Israel has just gotten a whole lot closer – be in prayer if the Lord would have you take this trip of a lifetime.
