Once our service has begun, and especially during the teaching of God’s Word, we kindly ask that everyone remain seated so as not to distract others who are listening. If you do need to step out, our Ushers will lovingly guide you to a seat at the rear of the sanctuary or in the foyer overflow when you return thank you
Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour on the first Sunday of 2026.
Tonight, join us at 6:00pm for our evening service as Pastor Keith teaches from John’s Gospel chapter 4 – Jesus meets a woman at a well and reveals her life to her! Pastor Israel will be back with us next Sunday evening and taking us back into the series in the Book of Nehemiah!
Wednesday evening, we continue teaching through the Book of Acts, with the disciples choosing a replacement for Judas – was it the right thing to do? Was God in this?
2026 – is the year to sign up to serve – fill in a Connection Card to be part of the body of Christ here at CCSH in ministry. We are aiming to have less bulletin hard copies printed each Sunday as we seek to have a complete transition to the electronic media format. Therefore we encourage you to sign up to receive the digital bulletin – information and QR code are on the information desk for this transition. In addition, don’t forget our preservice slides contain all the latest information for you to keep in step with the Church here in 2026.
Have you been baptised? – Jesus commanded His disciples to: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19)
If you would like to be part of our next Baptism Service at Palm Beach, Rockingham, please speak with any of the pastors for further information.

From the Pastor’s Pen
Reading Saturday’s newspapers, it seems that an increase in international wars and conflicts may well be laying the foundation for this new year, 2026. The United States is flexing its muscles in Venezuela and has now seized its fifth oil tanker in the Caribbean by force. In addition, U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that the United States could take military action should Iranian authorities begin blatant killing of its citizens, including those taking to the streets in protest. There is also growing seriousness in America’s attempts to gain sovereignty over Greenland. European leaders appear to be in a quandary—caught between Russia’s President Putin and U.S. President Trump—while European nations themselves seem to have little influence over the foreign policies of either power. Biblically, wars and rumours of wars form part of Jesus’ clear warning concerning the approaching Last Days: “And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”
— Matthew 24:6
Yet Jesus goes on to explain that these events are not random or meaningless. They are signs—birth pains:
“All these are the beginning of sorrows.” — Matthew 24:8
Birth pains may begin slowly and be scattered over time, but as the moment of delivery approaches, they grow stronger and closer together. Once labour begins, there is no stopping the birth. In the same way, the signs Jesus described appear to be increasing in both frequency and intensity as history moves toward its appointed conclusion. For the believer, this is not a call to fear, panic, or speculation—but to watchfulness, faithfulness, and hope. Look up! Our redemption draws near.
Helen’s Heart
Psa 103:19 The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all. How vital it is that we pray knowing that God is in heaven and He rules over all. Any lesser conviction dilutes our prayers to shallow and hollow. Spend time, walking through what God has done for you in ’25 and your prayer time will be energized for the New Year. Let us pray for the Spirit of prayer, the power to capture strongholds and make the impossible possible. For with God all things are possible – Matthew 19:26.
Quote of the week
For the Son of Man came to seek and save what was lost – Luke 19:10. The late venerable and godly Dr Archibald Alexander of Princeton had been a preacher of Christ for sixty years and a professir of dvibnity for forty. On his deathbed he was heard to say to a friend, “All my theology is reduced to this narrow compass – Jesus Christ came inbto the world to save sinners!”
