From the Pastor’s Pen
🙏 Prayer & Trust in God’s Power -Right at this moment, Helen and I are looking to God’s miraculous power in a couple of situations within our family. There are medical diagnoses that require a miracle—humanly speaking, each case currently appears hopeless. But we know the God who answers prayer. It is to Him we look at this time, trusting Him to do the impossible.
📖 Ephesians 3:20 “Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” As we read God’s Word each day, we see Him continually encouraging us through the Scriptures. We look to Him in faith, expecting His mighty power and grace to work miracles.
🤝 As His Church, we have the privilege of praying alongside one another—bringing our loved ones before our Lord and asking for His grace and power to rest upon them.
📖 James 1:6 “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.”
Helen’s Heart Let us come before His presence – Psalm 95:2 The purpose of prayer is not to twist God’s arm into our way of thinking. It is the child like elements of simple trust and time in the presence of God. Prayer is a powerful weapon God has given His dear children to conquer everything. No wonder the enemy of our souls snatches this weapon, hindering us from the use of it. Persist in prayer prevail and as we do we will succeed in the eternal – Love Helen
