The ministry of Andrew….

Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour   -

In John 12 this week we come across Simon Peter’s brother, Andrew, once more. He with Philip brings a group of Greeks who had come seeking to meet Jesus.
Andrew was a willing servant God used this way to bring people to meet Jesus.
John 12:20 Some Greeks who had come to Jerusalem for the Passover celebration 21 paid a visit to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee. They said, “Sir, we want to meet Jesus.” 22 Philip told Andrew about it, and they went together to ask Jesus.
Andrew is one of my unsung heroes in the Bible. He is an unassuming man but had such a unique and blessed ministry. You and I can follow in Andrew’s simple but powerful ministry of bringing people to Jesus too.
He brought family, Andrew was the one who brought his bother Peter to Jesus, and he brought strangers, as in our text.
Often in our Christian walk we think we need to have all the answers, be living the perfect life, in order to do any worthwhile ministry. Surely one of the greatest ministry opportunities can be to lead someone to meet Jesus!
The Lord will provide all that is needed to the person you bring. Our role is to invite, to lead, and to show the way for people to meet Jesus. God does the rest!
This week, invite someone to the Community Group with you, to the Calvary Kids, 4/12 Youth, or to Church, and God will do the rest!
When I get to Heaven, one of the people I will seek out first of all, will be Andrew.
On meeting him he will most likely after our encounter, lead me again to meet Jesus! For this is what he does so well.
Be an Andrew this week – and you will be blessed beyond measure I am sure!
