Daily devotion – Yes there is a war on!
A Call to Living Sacrifice
The war between nations continues, tensions rise, and the world seems increasingly unstable. Economies strain under pressure, leaders scramble for solutions, and uncertainty fills the hearts of many. From a human perspective, it all appears to be one great unraveling.
Yet what is perhaps more concerning is not what is happening around us—but what is (or isn’t) happening within us.
One might expect that in such times, churches would be filled and prayer meetings overflowing. That people would instinctively turn to God for help. But instead, we see a world so far removed from Him that seeking the Lord is no longer the natural response.
And so the question must be asked: Has the Church discerned the urgency of the moment? Are believers responding with greater passion, deeper prayer, and renewed surrender?
Throughout Scripture, God often moves through a remnant—a people who, though few, are wholly yielded to Him.

God is not limited by numbers, but He is drawn to hearts that are fully His.
It is easy in times like these to criticize governments, leaders, and the direction of the world. But the greater call is inward. God is not merely calling us to speak as Christians—He is calling us to live as disciples.

Matthew 5:13–14
“You are the salt of the earth… You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
In every generation, God appoints His people for that specific moment in history. This is our time. These are our days. And we are called to shine.
The words of the Apostle Paul carry a weight and urgency that speaks powerfully into our present moment:
Romans 12:1–2
*”I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect
