CCSH Men’s Night – 17th April
There’s a moment in 1 Samuel 23 that often gets overlooked, but it’s one every man needs: “Jonathan, Saul’s son, arose and went to David at Horesh and strengthened his hand in God” (v.16).
At this time, David was under pressure — hunted, weary, uncertain. And what did God provide? Not immediate relief from circumstances, but a brother who came alongside him and strengthened him in the Lord.
That’s what this upcoming Men’s Meeting affords.
Life has a way of wearing us down — responsibilities, pressures at work, challenges at home, and the quiet spiritual fatigue that can creep in unnoticed. Left alone, it’s easy to drift. But God hasn’t designed us to walk this road in isolation. We need moments where, like David, we are strengthened by other men who point us back to the Lord.
On Friday the 17th of April, we have a great opportunity to do exactly that. We’ll gather from 6:30 p.m. for some pizza and drinks, then move into the sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. for worship and a message from Pastor Mike Bezant of Calvary Chapel South West. It’ll be a focused, one-hour time together, wrapping up around 8:00 p.m. — simple, intentional, and spiritually strengthening.
This isn’t just another event to attend. It’s a chance to be sharpened, encouraged, and reminded of God’s truth alongside other men who are walking the same road.
So make the effort. Prioritise it. Sign up using the QR code below, and bring your $5 on the night (cash or via Square app) for covering some of the costs. More than that — come with expectation. Come ready to be strengthened in the Lord, and to strengthen others as well.
Because every David needs a Jonathan — and every one of us needs that kind of brotherhood.
