WHATS HAPPENING?
Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour!
We pray the Lord’s blessing be upon you today as we gather to worship our Lord Jesus Christ. If you would like to speak with someone about becoming a follower of Jesus, please see one of our ushers—they would be glad to assist you.
Calvary Men – Friday, 17th April
Men, we have a great opportunity to come together this Friday evening. Join us from 6:30pm for pizza and drinks, followed by worship and a message at 7:00pm in the sanctuary, brought by Pastor Mike Bezant from Calvary Chapel South West.
This will be a focused, one-hour time together, concluding around 8:00pm—simple, intentional, and spiritually strengthening.
This is more than just another event. It’s an opportunity to be sharpened, encouraged, and grounded in God’s truth alongside other men walking the same path. Make the effort. Prioritise it.
Please sign up using the QR code below, and bring $5 on the night (cash or via Square) to help cover costs. Most importantly, come with expectation—ready to be strengthened in the Lord and to strengthen others.
Tonight’s Service – Join us this evening as we continue our journey through the Gospel of Matthew, with Pastor Israel bringing the teaching of God’s Word.
Midweek Study – Wednesday Nights
This Wednesday at the chapel, we continue our study through the Book of Acts, following the Apostle Paul as he prepares for the path that will lead him to Rome—and ultimately to lay down his life for his love and faith in Jesus Christ, his Saviour.
Following the study, we gather for prayer at 7:30pm. It is a powerful time as we seek the Lord together and witness Him working mightily in response to prayer.
Come and be part of the real work of the Church—where the power of God is at work and lives are changed forever!
Grace Giving 2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. From the Pastor’s Pen
On Mission for Christ – Our world has recently witnessed the return of the spacecraft Artemis 11, completing what is being described as one of the longest and most remarkable journeys in space exploration—looping around the far side of the moon and safely returning to earth. It stands as a powerful reminder of humanity’s incredible capacity, intellect, and determination to accomplish extraordinary things. At the same time, global leaders continue striving for peace. Reports speak of U.S. Vice President Vance meeting with Iranian officials in Pakistan, seeking to ease tensions and bring resolution to ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The world is engaged in many missions—scientific and humanitarian—each aiming to achieve something meaningful. But for us, the Church of Jesus Christ, our mission has never changed. For over 2,000 years, since the words of our Lord in the Great Commission, believers have been called, commissioned, and compelled to go into all the world and preach the gospel. This mission has not been revised, improved, or replaced—it remains the same life-giving call. Unlike the Artemis mission, which involved only a few astronauts, or diplomatic efforts led by a handful of officials, the mission of the gospel involves every believer. No matter your age, background, education, or how long you have walked with the Lord—you are called. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 4:11–12 that God has given pastors and teachers “for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry.” This means the work of ministry is not reserved for a select few—it belongs to us all. You are on mission. God Himself is our Commander-in-Chief. Let us be faithful to this calling. Let us go into a world still walking in darkness and shine the light of the gospel. Just as that spacecraft journeyed into the dark side of the moon, we are sent into the dark places of this world—not with technology, but with truth; not with instruments, but with the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. May we be found faithful in our mission—sowing seeds that lead to eternal life.

Helen’s heart
In Him we live and move and have our being – Acts 17:28 Sir Thomas Browne said, “ I have resolved to pray in….the house, on the highway and on the street…and to know I have not forgotten God. Your voice matters in Heaven, when you enter His presence, the attendants turn to you. You will not be ignored even if you stammer, no matter, God listens. Prayer is the life of a Christian. Prayers outlive the lives of those who utter them. They can change history and lives. But more importantly for us, it brings a closer fellowship with our Holy and glorious God. Dwell in the secret place of the most high this week.
