They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. We will remember them.
WHATS HAPPENING?
Calvary Women
Please mark your diaries for this Tuesday, 28th April at 9:30am here at the chapel as the women continue their study in the book of Ruth. Be sure to invite a friend and come along to enjoy fellowship and grow together with other godly women in this special time of study. All women are welcome to be part of this blessed gathering and time in the Word.
Calvary Kids and Calvary Youth – both re-commence this Friday following the school holiday break. Parents, encourage your kids to be part of these opportunities that the Church and our young youth leaders make available. Your support is a valuable part of your children growing and maturing in their walk with Christ, which includes serving and gathering with brothers and sisters in Christ of their own age.
Mother’s Day Service
Mother’s Day is fast approaching—Sunday, 10th May 2026. We look forward to a special time together as we give thanks for and honour the mothers among us.
Calvary Ministry Team
Is the Lord leading you to serve here at CCSH? There are opportunities to be involved on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few (Matthew 9:37–38). Be one who answers the call and becomes a blessing to the body of Christ. Simply fill in a Connection Card and begin serving where the Lord leads.
Israel Tour 2027
Plans for Israel in January 2027 have not been set aside. We continue to seek the Lord’s leading regarding this opportunity. Please stay tuned and keep this in prayer.

From the Pastor’s Pen
When Will Peace Come? We watch and read continually as nations strive to bring peace to the Middle East. Ceasefires come and go—agreements are made, yet conflict persists. Even when there is a pause in fighting, tensions remain just beneath the surface. It raises a question that has echoed through generations:
Will there ever be true peace in Israel? The Bible makes it clear that while there may be temporary seasons of calm, lasting peace will not come through human effort alone. God’s Word tells us that Israel will one day experience a measure of security—“dwelling safely”—yet this will be short-lived. In Ezekiel 38:11, we read: “I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely…” This apparent peace is shattered by a great invasion described in Ezekiel 38–39, reminding us that even times of calm can precede great turmoil.
Further, Scripture reveals a future deception. A world leader—the Antichrist—will establish what appears to be peace: “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week…” (Daniel 9:27) Yet this covenant will be broken halfway through, bringing devastation rather than peace. Jesus Himself spoke of these days:
“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world…” (Matthew 24:21) So where, then, is the hope for Israel—and for the world? The answer is not found in treaties or political solutions, but in a Person. The Scriptures point us forward to the return of Jesus Christ. In that day, Israel will finally recognise her Messiah: “They shall look upon me whom they have pierced…” (Zechariah 12:10) “In that day there shall be a fountain opened… for sin and for uncleanness.” (Zechariah 13:1) And Christ will return in power and glory:
“And the armies which were in heaven followed him… And he hath on his vesture… KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” (Revelation 19:14,16) It is then—and only then—that true and lasting peace will come. Jesus will sit upon the throne of David and reign:
“He shall be great… and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David.” (Luke 1:32) “Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end…” (Isaiah 9:7)
But for those who know Christ, there is already peace:
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:1)
Helen’s heart
Mat 26:13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her. Anzac Day, 25th April, is a day we remember and honour the everyday heroes of our armed forces who have defended our country. Our hearts express such deep felt gratitude for their courage and sacrifice. Jesus paid tribute to Mary, for her costly act of honouring Him with the fragrant oil. Despite the criticism that her act was wasteful Jesus called it ‘beautiful’ and she would be remembered for her act. It is good for us to remember and honour all who have done what is beautiful in Jesus name.
Mark 8:34 Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
