Creation groans…..
Creation groans….
Have you ever wanted to hold a little bird, tried to entice one to come closer? At times we can come so close and then in an instant, they fly off! There is this inbuilt fear, distrust between God’s creation and humanity.
The fall of man, as recorded in the Book of Genesis, not only separated us from God but also with God’s amazing creation. We try to draw near but we never seem to be able to bridge the gap.
Creation too groans to bridge the gap. Heaven will see this gap closed for it says the wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD – Isaiah 65:25
What a joy it will be for us to once again interact with God’s beautiful creation, as did Adam and Eve before the day of disobedience.
Maybe you have tried to get close to God in a similar manner? You have tried living by the “golden rule” or you may have even tried ‘religion’. But you still felt there was a gap, a gulf that you still couldn’t bridge.
This is why Jesus came. Not only to restore humanity with His creation, but also to reconcile, bridge the gap between man and God. Jesus was and is the “Bridge Builder”.
Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me – John 14:6.
If you desire to know God, if your heart is groaning within you to fill the gap in your life that only God can fill, the answer is Jesus Christ – Jesus said, Mat 11:28
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
But you don’t have to wait until heaven to be able to bridge this gap between you and God. Right now by asking Jesus Christ to forgive you of your sins, to remove the groaning within your heart, the Holy Spirit of God will fill your heart, change your life and remove the gap between you and your Maker!
The Gospel of John says that after you have done that you will find yourself in the very hands of God – safe forever!
Jhn 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
