Prayer Ministry at CCSH – Would you like to be part of the prayer ministry here at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour?
Join us each Sunday before the service as we pray for the ministries, and those serving, and seek God’s blessing upon our fellowship as we gather to glorify His name.
Our midweek prayer gathering on Wednesdays at the chapel is the very pulse of the ministry at CCSH. It is a precious time to join with others in interceding for God’s work, praying for one another, and seeking the Lord together.
Following each service, our pastors and elders are also available to pray with you or for you. If you have a need, a burden, or simply desire prayer, please don’t hesitate to come forward. We would count it a privilege to pray with you.
Israel Tour 2027 – We continue to watch the situation in Israel prayerfully and have recently received encouraging reports from both our tour operator and our guide, Yaniv. Tours have recommenced, major airlines have resumed flights into Tel Aviv, and Yaniv has shared that he is looking forward, Lord willing, to leading our group in early 2027. Our intention remains to travel in January 2027, now only seven months away. If you are planning to join us, please continue to remain positive and prayerful as we look forward to once again walking in the footsteps of Jesus in the Holy Land.

Saved to Serve – Joshua 24:15 “…but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
The school holidays are upon us, and with them comes a wonderful opportunity for many of our young people. With extra time available, this is a great season to step forward and serve the Lord here at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour.
The Christian life is not simply about being saved from something—it is also about being saved for something. Every believer has been saved to serve. The Lord has given each of us gifts, abilities, and opportunities to use for His glory and for the blessing of His people.
Throughout the history of Calvary Chapel worldwide, school holidays have often become a training ground for future servants of God. Many of the pastors who now faithfully shepherd large congregations and preach God’s Word to thousands each week first began by doing the simplest of tasks during their school breaks. They would wait outside the pastor’s office asking, “Is there anything I can do?” Whether it was setting up chairs, cleaning, serving in practical ways, or helping behind the scenes, they made themselves available. God saw their willing hearts, taught them faithfulness in little things, and in His perfect time raised them into greater ministry.
Perhaps the Lord is calling some of our young people to begin that journey this school holiday. If you would like to be considered for serving in one of our ministries, simply speak with any of the pastors and let them know your availability.
The same invitation extends to those who have recently retired from their working careers. While employment may have come to an end, God’s calling to serve has not. Retirement can become one of the most fruitful seasons of ministry, as the Lord provides time to invest in His church and His people. There are many opportunities to serve here at CCSH, and we would love to help you find where the Lord can best use your gifts and experience.
Joshua declared with confidence, “As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” May that also be the testimony of each one of us. Whether young or old, student or retiree, there is a place to serve, and there is great joy in making ourselves available to the Master.
The Lord is not looking for perfect people—He is looking for willing hearts.

Paul the Apostle had a problem he called it his ‘thorn in the flesh’: Paul’s history was one of doing something to better or change a problem. He sought God to remove it not once but three times. On the third appeal God spoke My grace is sufficient – 2 Cor 12:9 We do not know what his thorn in the flesh was and that is a good thing because otherwise we might be inclined to reason ‘but my problem is greater than Paul’s ever was.’ We can take heart that God’s grace is not limited, whatever the problem. For your problem….God’s grace is sufficient!
